How about you? Do you remember a couple that was so in love in a story that you've never forgotten them?

That question really should be right up my alley, but you've covered most of the good ones so well. I could only add something like Gone With the Wind or Twilight.
You've chosen all of my favorites, Kaye, and some great photo scenes to go with them.
FAB list.
Daniel Day Lewis was so incredibly sexy and fierce in Last of the Mohicans :)
YES, your list covers any couple I would choose. (I love that you remember Charly! LOVED that book when I was a teen. It would be fun to re-read.)
The only couple I don't recognize are from "Quietly my Captain Waits". Must check that out.
Hope you're doing well!
I LOVE all Jane Austen's books!!
I'm totally with you with Elizabeth and Darcy. One of the best romances ever! Anne and Gilbert are pretty cute, too!
Great idea. I love all your picks, although a couple are new to me.
I love Jane Eyre and, while at the movies this week, saw a preview for a new movie of Jane Eyre. It looked good.
I love all the ones you picked!!!
Wonderful Valentine's post! As usual, I'm drawing a blank when asked a direct question! If I think of one, I'll be back!
Your list is PERFECT! I have the scene from Anne of Green Gables memorized...does that make me a total dork?
Seriously? You didn't have Aragorn and Arwen on your list? I thought for sure that would be one of your selections!
I'm not overly fond of Arwen . . . I think she's a dolt. (in the book she was pretty much arm candy for Aragorn) Peter Jackson re-wrote her character in the movie but I didn't like her any better. If I chose a couple from Lord of the rings I'd choose Sam and Frodo . . . .
ummm . . . I mean Sam and Rosie ;P
or maybe Farimir and Eowyn. The Lord of the Rings wasn't really a story about Romance.
Hi Kaye,
I hope you had a lovely Valentine's Day. I've only read 4 of your selected novels, and seen another couple on TV... but since you've introduced some dogs into the equation I just had to tell you we watched Hachi with Richard Gere a couple of nights ago (i.e. Richard Gere stars in the film, he wasn't watching with us!) and it's the only film my husband has ever cried at! Yes, it's a film about a dog...! If you haven't seen it I recommend it. And a box of tissues.
If you love Cora and Hawkeye, you've got to read Sara Donati's Into the Wilderness, about their son, Nathaniel, and his love, Elizabeth. Hawkeye's a major character in that one, too. Where the Red Fern Grows is my absolute favorite book from childhood, so cool that you put the dogs on your list! Thanks for stopping by mine :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Although I only know these two couples through the movies, I absolutely love Cora and Hawkeye and Anne and Gilbert. The books are on my TBR list so I do plan on reading them at some point.
Love your list and I love the pictures you included!
Great list! You included a few that I forgot about....I loved The Last of the Mochicans and Anne and Gilbert. BTW, I love your blog header and theme! Thanks for visiting my list.
So cute including the dogs from Where the Red Fern Grows. I think that is the first book that ever made me cry :)
Ok, so I know I'm almost a week late in responding to this post, but I had to comment because just looking at the pictures you posted and remembering scenes from those novels/movies gave me goosebumps!
These are all excellent choices, and I would put almost all of them on my top ten list too. I've never read The Blue Sword or Charly, but because we seem to have so much else in common, I'm adding them to my list right away! Thanks!
Brooke
