this past weekend I traveled to Southeastern Utah
It was snowing, this is the red rock country near Moab, Utah

I went to a wedding in the Monticello Temple
these beautiful buildings just lend themselves to sepia

Yes, the temple with the statue on top looks awesome in sepia, Kaye.

My word! That's gorgeous!
My husband proposed to me in Utah. It's so lovely there.

Both photos are subtle and muted and lovely. Nice ways to present the areas you visited.

I tell you, that red rock country is really something else. Reminds me of my trip to Lake Powell.

The temple is quite large in scope. However with the soft sepia, the toning down from immense is lovely, the simple shape we notice more. I like the trumpeter on top, making clorious music to the heavens. Nice!

I love the way the snow softens the lighting.

Beautiful mists in that first shot, and yes, the Temple lends itself very well to sepia.

We drove thru there not too long ago. TONS of snow. It is truly a picturesque part of the State. Thanks for sharing.

I enlarged the Monticello Temple photo. Very cool building and it looks nice in the light sepia. I like how the edges are blurred and darker..

And the red rock country looks majestic!

I took pictures of snow in Moab, too. I couldn't believe it! That's a very rare thing. I love the Monticello temple picture. I may have to get a copy. I forgot to take one of it when I was there. It was a great trip!

Good choices for sepia.

Both of these pictures are absolutely beautiful. I wish I could take such great pics. Found you at Wee Shenanigans!

The Utah shot is pretty cool! I envisioned cowboys struggling in the snow - too much TV in the 60's I guess. :)
Love the sepia shot of the temple!I like your framing.
Looks like an awesome place for a wedding.

Great shots Kaye. We have a temple near my house. I love to shoot it with a bright blue sky back ground. I should try doing a sepia edit on it.

The snow gives it a foggy look and adds just a little touch of mystery. Beautiful!
